Wastewater treatment

The effluent from flue gas scrubbing is purified in several stages. Not only are pollutants removed, but pure gypsum can also be recovered. As an alternative to the discharge of treated wastewater, evaporation can be used to produce hydrochloric acid or sodium chloride.
