Heat

Thermal energy can be extracted as steam or hot water and used as:

  • District heat for households and industrial consumers
  • Process heat for industrial heat consumers

The recovery of energy from waste leads to substantial economies in the primary energy sources (oil, gas, coal) that would otherwise be employed, and hence to a positive impact on the ecobalance. Ten metric tons of waste can yield up to 30,000 kWh of heat.
