Secondary combustion

The swirl boosts efficiency

The secondary combustion chamber (burnout chamber) is located above the main combustion zone of the grate. A construction at the inlet allows injection of secondary combustion air or recirculated flue gas. The tangential arrangement of nozzles produces a swirling flow in the chamber, promoting uniform mixing and uniform combustion-gas temperature.

Your advantages:

  • Better burnout of combustion gases and fly ash
  • Lower CO emissions
  • Optimized inlet flow to SNCR denitrification
