MORE SUCCESS FOR A-TEC INDUSTRIES PLANT CONSTRUCTION DIVISION

Vienna, 4 May 2007 – Austrian Energy & Environment (AE&E) has won a major contract to build a 140 MW cogeneration station for Condamine Power Station Pty Ltd (CPS) in Queensland, Australia. The order is worth EUR 95 million, and the plant is scheduled to come online in August 2009 after 24 months’ construction time. The booking comes on top of record order backlog at the A-TEC Group’s largest division — already at an all-time high of EUR 1.55 billion at the end of the first quarter. Commenting on the contract win, Mirko Kovats, CEO of Vienna listed A-TEC Industries AG, AE&E’s parent company, said: “Last year we made very rapid inroads in the Pacific region, and particularly the Australian market, thanks to the integration of the company taken over from the Alstom Group at the end of 2005. AE&E Australia is performing excellently. This large order is impressive proof that the acquisition has been a wise success, and is a significant achievement for the entire group.”
